4.1 INCLUDE AUDIO THAT ENHANCES THE MEANING AND ATMOSPHERE OF THE ANIMATION, WITH A SENSITIVITY TO THE VISUAL ELEMENT

Using Royalty Free Music

I was hoping to use voice dialogue for this project but my voice actor bailed on me, so I had to turn this into a silent film with subtitling, and music audio over the animation. I chose Tchaikovsky’s Russian Dance, for its fun and energetic sound, which went well with the animation’s pacing since it is a short animation, I wanted the audience to feel engaged with the music as well. Most classical music from the past is royalty free, so I went to a website that allows free downloading for royalty free music, I chose Tchaikovsky (again) as he’s one my favourite musicians in classical music. Once I had my mp3 file, I dragged the file from my desktop over to the composition panel, where the blue line represented the music file selected on the time line.
